David Shrimpton, Managing Director at Moneybarn has been named one of LGBT Great's top 50 Gamechangers this year.
This initiative seeks to recognise and celebrate LGBTQ+ talent around the world, who are excelling at work, influencing their role, and using their platform to empower the community.
David has been recognised for being an advocate for the Inclusion and Diversity agenda at Vanquis Banking Group, enabling colleagues to embrace each other's individuality and experiences.
Highlights from the past 12 months include LGBTQ+ History Month where David shared his personal experiences and coming out story with colleagues around the business.
David also co-hosted a live Q&A session with the LGBTQ+ Affinity Group who shared their stories and experiences, and a live Time to Talk with gender fluid and genre fluid musician and drag queen Monopoly Phonic.
David sponsored 50 colleagues across the Group to participate in the parade at this year’s Leeds Pride in June, with friends and family joining them. We'll be getting involved with a larger calendar of events as part of our membership with LGBT Great. This will include mentoring workshops and networking sessions with fellow LGBT Great members, as well as celebration events and awards that highlight colleagues who display role model behaviours that closely align with our Values.
